Assurance cases are used in many domains to manage and demonstrate system safety, security and compliance. The right understanding of the argument structure is essential for its effective use. The main goal of the course is to provide skills to use proper and effective argument structures, develop defensible arguments, and review assurance case quality.

The training will help you improve the quality of your assurance cases. We welcome engineers and assurance professionals who develop assurance cases, as well as reviewers and qualifiers.

During the training we will work on sample projects in the application, analysing possible approaches and best practices. Each participant will have an individual account in PREMIS and will be able to practice the discussed techniques on their own. We will look from the perspective of a developer and a reviewer to find optimal solutions that lead to strong and compelling arguments.

Prerequisites

  • Basic understanding of assurance cases and their use would be useful.
  • Basic knowledge of PREMIS functions would be useful but it is not required

Fees: Early registration until 22 January 2025: $420 or €400

Regular fee: $525 or €500.
